About This Course
Psychology is a fascinating subject as it helps us learn about the mind, the brain and human behaviour.  The areas you will delve into when studying psychology are:  How does our memory work?  Why do we conform? Why do people have OCD? If you are interested in finding out the answers to some of these questions then psychology is the subject for you.


Course Content & Assessment
The AQA Psychology A Level consists of 12 topics which are spread across 3 papers. Each paper is of equal weighting and are sat at the end of year 13. There is the option of taking the AS exam at the end of year 12 which is assessed on 6 topics.

What could this course lead to?
Psychology can lead to a number of career avenues including Counselling, Education, Health, Clinical and Forensic Psychology, Research, Advertising and Market Research, Teaching and the Police to name but a few.
