About This Course

This A Level course will enable students to become critical decision-makers and informed citizens, who understand the role and importance of Geography as one of the key disciplines relevant to understanding the world’s changing peoples, places and environments.

Paper 1: Physical landscape and processes

Paper 2: Globalisation and shaping places

Paper 3: Synoptic investigation

NEA: Independent investigation

 

What could this course lead to?

Geography is both a numerate and literate discipline and is excellent preparation for university.  Careers within environmental consultancy, regional planning, quantity surveying and GIS mapping require a geographical background.  Students wishing to go into journalism, logistics, architecture and politics would also benefit from A-Level Geography.
