GCSE results published for all schools; Mossbourne Fobbing is now the best in town

With GCSE results (unvalidated) now published for all schools nationally, we are delighted and very proud to share that Mossbourne Fobbing Academy (MFA) now has the highest GCSE results in Stanford-le-Hope and Corringham.  That means, across the three schools in our area, MFA has:

• the highest percentage of students achieving grade 5 or higher in both English and Maths;
• the highest percentage of students achieving grade 4 or higher in both English and Maths;
• the highest average grade across students’ best 8 subject results.

The significant leap in the percentage of students now achieving at least a grade 4 or higher in English and Maths (up to 72%) means that we are the third highest performing mixed-sex school across the whole of Thurrock on this measure.

While this jump in results is fantastic for our students, it is all the more impressive when considering the downward trend at many other local schools.  When comparing the change in results from 2024 to 2025, our results have transformed, sharply increasing and bucking the downward trend seen elsewhere.
