Code of Conduct

Code of Conduct – The Partnership Agreement

Freedom and responsibility go hand in hand. In choosing to stay on in education and to attend this sixth form, we assume you are committed, enthusiastic and mature enough to accept the challenges inherent in your new role. You will be role models for the rest of the Academy, acting as leaders and mentors to younger students. More details can be found in the Mossbourne Sixth Form Handbook.

Ethos

Mossbourne Sixth Form Thurrock will continue the ethos of hard work and outstanding achievement inherent in the Academy as a whole. Students and staff will work together to ensure that every Sixth Former achieves their potential. Academic rigor will be balanced with an intention to facilitate a smooth transition to university life, training or employment.

As a Sixth Former you will work in partnership with your teachers and develop relationships with your tutors and the Sixth Form Team that are supportive and based on mutual respect. You will be encouraged to read beyond the curriculum, to work and think independently and be self‐disciplined in your studies – essential skills for university and beyond.

We have highly committed, dedicated staff that love their subjects and will work with you. We know that you will want to work hard for yourself.
